My MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018) always requests a new start before installing 10.15.5. Dead end loop. What shall I do, that the update will be installed?
Here is the solution, discussions.apple.com, do let me know if it works.
Same here, sad truth Apple ain’t what it used to be
Same problem here. It requests to restart, but won’t install…. just restart…
I had the same problem and I tried multiple times with new admin user and PRAM + SMC reset etc. but no help.. Then I was able to update after I gave me system rights https://www.howtogeek.com/230424/how-to-disable-system-integrity-protection-on-a-mac-and-why-you-shouldnt/ and then deleted (rm -rf) the folder Libray/Updates/–somenumbers– [cant remember what was the folder name] that had 10.15.5 install files in it. Then I re enabled csrutil and was able to download and luckily was able to install the update.
I have a iMac after updating Catalina to 10.15.5 I now have a problem after editing my photos (with in built edit in photos) It edits them properly but after placing them back in photos they all become blurry. Trying to redo them only causes computer to stop working and forces me to force quit. Restarting doesn’t help.
Here is the solution, try https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/photos/pht5156cc968/mac
After installing this upgrade, my external monitor no longer works. Is there a solution or patch?
try to detect the display by going to System Preferences->Displays. Then click “detect display”.
I seem to have been able to download the update, and the computer restarts and shows the installation screen with the progress bar, and gets stuck at “approximately 6 minutes remaining”. I know the timing is ALWAYS off, but after 12 hours I’ll get the message it cannot install and to retry. How do I get my Mac to “forget” about this update and just boot with the old OS? Anyone??
You cannot get back to the old version of Mac. And try to reinstall Mac in safe mode.
my macbook air’s battery backup has fallen from 12 hours to 4 hours. what should i do?
Called the Apple Support team and the guy was awesome. Had a major problem but he talked it all through and was patient and knew just what to do.
