My device charge slowly or won’t charge
Follow these steps below to fix If your device charges slowly or won’t charge.
Quick tips
- Check if there are any damage, breakage, or bent prongs on charging cable and USB adapter.
- Check if there are firm connections between your charging cable, USB wall adapter, and wall outlet or AC power cable.
- Try charging your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with different outlets.
- Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device. ( We don’t recommend this step, try to contact Apple)
Force restart your Device
- On an iPhone X or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Finally, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- On an iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Then press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Finally, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the power side and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
- On an iPhone 6s or iPhone 5s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery-mode screen.
My device stopped charging at 80 percent
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch stops charging at 80%, don’t worry, it is usually because the battery gets too warm. To extend the lifespan of your battery, the software might limit charging above 80 percent.
