GIF-animations are always in trend. From social media to instant messengers, users love to use GIFs and share them. With GIF you can share emotions, express joy, sadness. In iMessage, you can also use GIF. Today, we will discuss how you can prank with fake text iMessage GIF or “iMessage typing bubble” in your iPhone or iPad iMessages. For this prank, we don’t need any third-party software or keyboard.
The whole prank consists of sending gif straight from your iPhone and iPad in iOS10/11/12/13. And yes, you can also use this prank on your Mac by sending it to anyone with macOS or Mac OS X.

iMessage typing bubble GIF
To make this fake text iMessage or iMessage typing bubble, you just download GIF below and then send it to your friend/family in the iMessage application. It’s harmless and fun to use. For iPhone and iPad, simply click and hold on the PNG image and choose “Save Image”, then paste it into the recipient’s Message thread. For Mac or PC, right-click the image and select “Save As” :
- Hold it down and paste.
- Go to iMessage.
- Go to the recipient’s Message thread.
- hold down on the message bar until it says paste and click paste and send it.
To send gifs to iMessage, you need an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch from iOS10 and later. It looks like you are typing for long, making your friend/family waiting for the message from you.
Note: If you send it to my friends and family, they get a message alert, so they knew it was just a gif.
